Introduction

Is there something more to the Tabernacle then what we have been told? Are you prepared to change the way you have been looking at it? We miss the point when we are quick to say that Jesus fulfilled it all. True, these things are fulfilled by Jesus, but maybe in ways we have never seen before.

God speaks the language of every generation, and He said something glorious in the Wilderness Tabernacle, that still needs to be understood today. But the terms we often use to describe it do not really capture what God was trying to say. If we took the time to look we would be surprised to learn that we know much less about the Tabernacle then we may think.

In the Tabernacle God gives us a more dynamic view. It’s all about Him and how He wants to have a people who understand Him. It’s about discovering a person—and how we can have a relationship with Him, not only here but beyond. When we truly start to understand the significance of the Tabernacle we will appreciate Jesus even more.

I believe the message of the Tabernacle can give us a picture of Redemption that we can really get exited about. It is something that God is trying to say to a fragmented world. If we look at the Tabernacle we see how it leads us to the Most Holy Place, with the Ark and the curtian embroidered with the Cherubim. Where have we seen this picture before? It reminds us of the two Cherubim guarding the Tree of Life in the Garden and our journey back to this kind of a relationship with God.

The Tabernacle is about how we can come back to the Presence of God. This is the place where I want to be—in the arms of my Creator! The greatest privilege in life is to discover God, and to be in His very Presence someday. If we have not experienced this yet, it is because we are still outside of the Garden. The Tabernacle will never be completely fulfilled until we can experience God like this.

Craig, great post, looking forward to some exciting bloggong on the Tabernacle. An experience with our Maker is the greatest journey we can eperience in our life time.
The story of Adams walk with his Creator in the cool of evening and in reference to the Tabernacle in Lev. 26.12, "I will also walk among you and be your God," creates that longing that you are introducing here in your blog.

"The chief aim of man is to know God and to enjoy him forever." ~The Westminster Catechism

Certainly, the Tabernacle can help us to know God, as it is the only building ever designed by the Creator himself. As with all his creation, its aim is to lead us into a knowledge and appreciation of his beauty of character and to seek an intimate relationship with him. Thanks for starting this blog!
